A thorough “AS IS” process analysis executed by EBPO Manager resulted in identification of various process mismatch. The mismatch of processes like , No eligibility verification at the time of encounter/patient’s walk in, encounter forms were printed separately from outside (not linked to the practice management software) and no Accounts Receivables maintenance was being done.
After a thorough analysis EBPO suggested various neck opening solutions ranging from creating a custom made encounter form and linking it with their software, setting up online eligibility verification access through websites and tailor made custom solution to handle the Doctor’s Accounts Receivables.

There was no effective AR maintenance and the practice did not know where their outstanding money was clogged up. There was no differentiation between insurance balance and patient balance. And the billing person who was handling the billing had no time to look into AR.
